Appointment of a manager

The appointment of a manager is a fault based right and must be made by a qualifying Tenant. The right to apply to the First-tier Tribunal is on limited grounds as set out by Statute and provided it is “just and convenient” to do so.

The effect of the appointment of a manager is such that the manager carries out his duties in his own right as an officer of the Court and independent from the Landlord. Its effects are far reaching for both Landlords and Tenants.

At PDC Law, we are able to guide you through the section 22 notice to the Tribunal’s Order establishing whether the statutory criteria has been met.
